Why a specialist driving course for this type of work?
One of the times your convoy, your principal or your employer is at their most vulnerable is whilst travelling. The biggest threat in most parts of the world is probably road traffic accidents! Add to this the other risks of kidnap, ambush, robbery, assassination and Improvised Explosive Device (to name but a few) and the road becomes a real problem.
We get you out where you need to be - on the roads and doing it for real. After all, the most important person in the vehicle (apart from the VIP) is the driver. The driver determines what happens or doesn't happen on the road.
What we will teach you.....
The aim is provide a smooth, safe and progressive drive so that your principal or client can do their paperwork in the back without the need to look up and see why you have braked heavily, turned sharply or stopped quickly. At the same time they will have the peace of mind to know that you have the ability to spot trouble at the earliest opportunity and deal with it professionally and capably.
To achieve this, the skill level of the driver has to be high. Our Advanced Driver training courses concentrate on bringing your everyday driving skills up to scratch. Not only that, as a result of enhanced everyday driving ability, your situational awareness and observation skills add to your security as well your road safety.
Once our ex-military instructors have got your driving skills up to the right level we can then start to introduce the other skills you need for your role as either a CP operative or chauffeur. By the way our instructors on this course are amongst other things SIA registered CP operatives, DSA approved driving instructors and holders of UK Police Advanced Driving Certificates. They all have extensive security experience.
The course is challenging and once completed, will certainly make you a more attractive proposition to any prospective employer. Civilian advanced driving tests such as ROSPA or IAM can also be integral to the course if required, as can a LANTRA Awards 4x4 operator certificate - although you will attain a much higher standard with us than any of these qualifications require. Ultimately of course - it could just save your life!
