Welcome to Protec Training...........

Who are we.....

Protec is based in the West of Scotland and provides high quality, specialist driver training, safety training and preparation for people to cope with the demands of driving worldwide for every situation.

Our trainers are mostly ex-police and ex-military instructors with a wealth of experience and knowledge supported by a wide range of training qualifications which reflect current practices and techniques.

All our trainers are DSA qualified driving instructors of at least grade 5 or 6. In addition most are on the DSA Register of Fleet Trainers - your assurance that the instruction you get has been assessed to demanding national standards. On top of this each instructor has their own portfolio of qualifications such as one or more (or all!) of:

Police Advanced Driving Certificate / ROSPA Diploma in Advanced Driving Instruction / LANTRA Awards 4x4 Instructor / Defence Instructional Techniques / First Aid Instructor / SIA CLose Protection Officer / ROSPA Diploma in Advanced Riding Instruction / City & Guilds Training Certificates.

Where we work....

Our primary training location is in the West of Scotland but we can and do work anywhere in the UK, Europe or Worldwide.

What makes Protec Different?

It has taken many years and much investment for us to gain the experience and qualifications we hold. For us not to pass that on to others would be a tremendous waste of knowledge.

As DSA approved instructors, we can do the majority of our training where it should be done - on the roads in real situations. Our courses and techniques are also among the most current around. We also reflect the training that major emergency services and government organisations provide by keeping constant contact with them. Our Emergency Services Standard Course for example is the same as that taught to most UK police forces and regional ambulance services.

More important than all that - we enjoy what we do. Our enthusiasm is infectious and we look forward to every course we teach. With Protec you will never feel as though your instructor is just going throughthe motions. You will be involved, encouraged and feel like part of the team.
